Internal Quality Committee
The Internal Quality Committee coordinates the preparation of special self-assessment reports in relation to External Evaluations concerning the institution, in accordance with the standards applicable to such reports, which are determined and issued by the Agency based on the criteria and quality indicators provided for in the provisions of article 6 and in accordance with the provisions of Law 136 ( I ) 2015 regarding external evaluations. It meets regularly at least every six months.
Responsibilities of the Internal Quality Committee
The Internal Quality Committee College is responsible for the implementation of the following standards provided for in article 12 of law 136 (I) 2015:
(a) Commitment to cultivating perceptions and behaviors that recognize the importance of quality and its assurance for the performance of one’s work;
(b) implementation of policy and corresponding procedures for ensuring quality and standards in relation to the study programmes it offers and the qualifications it awards;
(c) operation of formal mechanisms for the approval, monitoring and periodic review and, where necessary, revision of the study programmes offered and the qualifications awarded;
(d) ensuring the Evaluation of its students based on published criteria, regulations and procedures applied consistently;
(e) possession of the necessary qualifications and the necessary abilities by its teaching staff in relation to the teaching work that they are called upon to carry out, as well as the data that document the degree of competence of its teachers;
(f) adequacy of learning resources and suitability for each study program offered for the purposes of supporting the student learning process;
(g) collection, analysis and use of all data related to the effectiveness and efficiency of the management of the offered study programmes and other educational activities;
(h) publication, in print and electronic form, at regular intervals, of an updated, impartial and objective report regarding the study programmes offered and other educational activities, as well as the degrees awarded, for the purposes of ensuring internal quality.
(i) The Internal Quality Committee collaborates with the Academic Council and the Alexander Research Center where deemed appropriate.
The Mode of Operation of the Committees
The Academic Committee meets regularly twice a year and whenever necessary. The Academic Committee is chaired by the Head of Academic Affairs and consists of the Heads of Departments, three representatives of the Faculty Association, the President of the Student Association, the person responsible for Admissions, the person responsible for Registrations. Applications, certificates and detailed scores are received from the Student Admissions Service. During the Sessions are recorded in minutes.
The Administrative Committee meets at least four times a year. Extraordinary meetings may be held whenever deemed necessary. The members of the Committee are as follows:
- The General Manager
- The Design and Development Manager
- The Finance Officer
- A member of the Academic Staff
- The President of the Student Union
The Disciplinary Committee consists of the following members:
- The Head of Academic Affairs
- The Public Relations Manager
- The Head of the Art and Design Department
- The Head of the Department of Administration and Economics
- Two School Representatives
- The President of the Student Union
The Internal Quality Committee meets regularly every six months and consists of:
- The Head of Academic Affairs, as President
- Three members of academic staff with relevant experience and skills
- Two staff members for Quality Assurance
- A member of the Administrative Staff
- Two elective students per cycle of studies
