This programme provides a strong foundation in international business by exploring global markets, strategic management, and the key principles that drive organisations worldwide. Students develop leadership, communication, and decision-making skills while applying business theory to real-world case studies, projects, and simulations. The programme also emphasises sustainability, ethics, innovation, and cultural awareness, preparing graduates with the confidence and expertise to succeed in a global business environment.

Through case studies, simulations, and collaborative projects, you’ll be taught by our diverse international team who bring global expertise and industry experience to the classroom.

You’ll engage with real-world business scenarios that will prepare you for the complexities of global commerce, whilst benefiting from research-informed teaching, transdisciplinary approaches to problem-solving, and integration of digital technologies.

What’s more, you’ll explore themes relevant to industry, careers, and enterprise, giving you the experience to work in multidisciplinary teams, as you collaborate with other postgraduate students from different subject areas and disciplines.

With a strong focus on both professional and personal development, you’ll acquire the skills and attributes needed to become an effective leader, entrepreneur, or policymaker in an increasingly interconnected global economy.

You will need an appropriate Honours degree (minimum 2.2 or equivalent qualification).

International Students

If you are an international student (with a first degree from a non-UK higher education institution), you will also need to demonstrate English language proficiency, with a combined 6.0 IELTs score (or equivalent).

You will be taught by a diverse international teaching team with extensive global business experience and industry connections. Faculty members bring authentic perspectives from different cultural and business contexts, ensuring you gain genuine multicultural insights. The team includes academics with professional consulting experience and industry practitioners. You will also benefit from guest lectures by international business leaders and receive individual supervision for your major consultancy project from experienced academic mentors.

The MBA International uses innovative, industry-focused assessments with no traditional exams. Coursework includes group video presentations, international business case studies, digital portfolios, professional podcasts, market intelligence portfolios, and reflective logs, all designed to develop practical leadership, analytical, and consulting skills.The programme comprises 180 credits: five specialist 30-credit modules, a 30-credit Postgraduate Challenge module, and a 30-credit Global Consultancy capstone project, where you’ll work with international organisations to deliver real-world business solutions.

This is a 12-month full-time programme. The programme commences in mid-October and is divided into three trimesters. You will have two evening classes per week.

For the MBA International degree, you will be required to complete all modules in order to earn a total of 90 ECTS credits (180 UK Credits). See ‘Course Structure’.

The MBA International enhances your career prospects and prepares you for progression into management roles within global organisations.
