George Theodorou

Course: BDes Graphics

George Theodorou is a Graphic Design graduate focused on creating modern, clean and bold visual work. His practice centers on logo design and visual identity, where he combines strong conceptual thinking with precise execution. Primarily working with Adobe photoshop and illustrator, he develops design solutions that emphasize clarity, impact and contemporary aesthetics.

Alongside his minimal graphic design approach, his background in traditional art and illustration introduces a contrasting expressive dimension to his work. He explores detailed cartoon- inspired forms and intricate high energy patterns, reflecting a broader creative range. This duality informs his perspective, allowing him to balance structured design with experimental visual language, aiming to produce work that is both visually striking and conceptually grounded, with his long-term goal to bridge the gap between bold designs and playful illustrations.

Final Research Project: Combating Misinformation with Graphic Design

We are conditioned from an early stage to accept information without question, often absorbing misleading content through news, social media, and increasingly through AI-generated imagery and narratives. Surrounded by constant streams of information, it becomes easy to internalize and unknowingly circulate misinformation, reinforcing a cycle of it. As this issue continues to grow within an evolving digital landscape the need for critical thinking and awareness becomes more urgent. Through this project, I use graphic design across different media to challenge the passive consumption and encourage audiences to question the authenticity of the content they encounter daily.
