Final Research Project: Iconic & Untamed: Visual Storytelling, Streetwear and Hip-Hop Culture

CALYZER is a conceptual fashion campaign combining apparel design, packaging design, photography, art direction, and visual storytelling. The project began with the design of an original tracksuit collection for the clothing brand CALYZER, followed by the organisation and direction of a collaborative photoshoot and video campaign. Building on this, I developed “Soft, Never Tamed”, an artist × brand collaboration campaign inspired by themes of softness, individuality, and rebellion. Using cinematic visuals, experimental styling, and AI-generated imagery, the campaign challenges traditional perceptions of softness by presenting it as powerful, fearless, and untamed. The sheep symbolism contrasts vulnerability with strength, creating a surreal and emotionally engaging visual narrative.

“Iconic as fck” is an editorial book project exploring the evolution and cultural impact of some of the most influential female voices in hip-hop, from early pioneers to the new generation of artists redefining the industry today. Through a minimal yet bold visual approach, the book celebrates female rappers who challenged stereotypes, broke boundaries, and shaped hip-hop culture through their individuality, confidence, and artistic expression. The project combines editorial design, typography, image-making, and visual storytelling to create a publication that feels raw, expressive, and contemporary. Inspired by album aesthetics, underground culture, and the rebellious energy of hip-hop, the design balances clean layouts with experimental visual elements to reflect the attitude and identity of each artist featured throughout the book.
