Overview

The qualification covers the subject of Ketosis and the following of a Ketogenic based diet. The Ketogenic diet is a low-carbohydrate, high fat diet that causes the liver to convert fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies. The ketone bodies pass into the brain and replace glucose as an energy source. It is recognised by some that this diet may alleviate some long-term medical conditions normally treated by modern medicines. The subject matter is vast and detailed and as such the qualification reflects all the variables covered by following this type of diet plan.
