The Alexander College Fashion Design department is partnering with Movember Cyprus!
Join us in raising awareness for vital men’s health issues—prostate and testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. Throughout November, we invite everyone to grow moustaches to spark important conversations and show our support.
The Movember movement began in Australia in 2003 when a group of friends sought to revive the classic style of moustaches for a good cause, combining “Mo” from moustache and “November” to create the name Movember, with the aim of changing the face of men’s health. As an independent global charity, Movember supports programs focused on prostate and testicular health, as well as mental health. Guided by the Movember Cyprus Foundation, this initiative seeks to raise awareness and educate the public, helping men live with and beyond cancer while maintaining their mental well-being.
We are excited to announce that our Fashion Design department has created exclusive handmade products to support this important cause, with proceeds going directly to Movember initiatives. The event will take place on November 21 from 11:30 to 13:00 at the College Roof Garden. We encourage everyone to join us and explore these unique products while contributing to a vital mission.
Together, we can make a difference!
