Alexander College is committed to the active transfer of know-how to society and the production sector, in alignment with its core vision to “continue presenting strong international partnerships and networks of new knowledge enhancing teaching, learning, and research expertise.” This commitment is embedded in the College’s curriculum and research activities, emphasizing community service, fostering industry partnerships, and supporting student engagement with the professional environment through internships and field trips. These initiatives are designed to ensure that students can apply their knowledge and skills in real-world contexts, thereby contributing to societal and economic development.

To achieve these objectives, Alexander College implements a structured policy of cooperation with both public and private organizations. This policy encompasses a range of key actions, including:

1. Establishing bilateral agreements and knowledge transfer partnerships with organizations such as the Center for Social Innovation, IANUS Technology Ltd, the Municipality of Larnaca, the Municipality of Aradippou (industrial zone), and over 30 other organizations.
2. Incorporating research outcomes from the Alexander Research Centre into the action plans and resources of entities such as the Cyprus Youth Board and the Cyprus National Addictions Authority (NAAC). Notably, research on “Online Hate Speech in Cyprus: Student Exposure and Perpetration” has informed the Ministry of Education’s Unit for Cybersecurity and the Internet.
3. Facilitating cooperation between research groups through joint workshops, collaborative research activities, and the transfer of know-how.
4. Organizing exchange and reciprocal visits for staff and students (undergraduate and postgraduate), as well as board members of partner organizations, to promote scientific research and provide practical experience to students.
5. Jointly organizing informative, educational, scientific, and research activities, including seminars, lectures, conferences, workshops, and surveys.
6. Collaborating on the submission of research proposals and engaging in any other research or academic activities that serve the mutual benefit of the involved parties.

All such activities are co-decided by Alexander College and its partners, with the overarching aim of enhancing the prosperity of society and the state. Through these methods and procedures, Alexander College ensures the effective transfer of knowledge, skills, and innovation to the broader community and the production sector.
