I.T. Support
Support is available to both students and staff for college-related I.T. matters such as email passwords, Zoom meetings, VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) login errors, software issues etc. You can contact I.T. Support by email, by phone or by visiting the I.T. office anytime from Monday to Thursday between 9:00am to 4:00pm or until 2:00pm on Fridays.

Planning/Advertising your Event
Every year our students and teaching staff are involved with the planning of numerous events – exhibitions, fashion shows, fundraisers, guest speaker seminars, student parties etc. Whatever college event you’re planning, the marketing office is your first point of contact for event publicising and coordination. The marketing department will assist you in all aspects of your advertising campaign and will feature your event on social network apps and the college website events page. You can contact the Marketing Office daily from 9:00am – 1:30pm.

Booking a Photography Studio
If you are studying on one of our creative courses, some of your projects may require you to shoot your own pictures. Students can book a photography studio providing that it is not occupied for scheduled lectures or workshops. To reserve studio time you can contact either the Photography Course Leader or the officer in charge for Conference Facilities and Bookings. Studio time is free to all of our students and the earlier you book (at least 3 days in advance), the more likely you are to find an available studio. The photography studios are fully-equipped with all of the necessary apparatus including lighting, tripods, various backdrops and other photographic equipment however; it is recommended that you bring your own camera and lenses.

Photography Equipment
In addition to the photography studios, you may also take out photography equipment such as tripods, cameras, lenses, microphones and various other audio-visual equipment for an agreed amount of time (usually between 2 and 7 days). Rental is free to all of our students and the earlier you book (at least 7 days in advance), the more likely you are to find the equipment you need. To borrow photography equipment you can contact the College Print Shop.

Library Books
The library is the primary facility where students can find resource material for study and learning support for the entire range of programmes delivered by all departments. It is also the preferred location for attending study groups. The library is equipped with computing and internet facilities and is staffed on a full-time basis so help is always on hand. The library is open from Monday to Thursday from 9:00am – 6:00pm and until 2:00pm on Fridays.
Booking the Theatre
The Theatre is located on the basement level. It features a high stage with curtain control, audio-visual projector facility with various lighting options, fully carpeted and seats approximately 150 people. It is used for presentations, award ceremonies, guest speaker seminars and large-scale meetings. The use of the Theatre is free to all of our students but you must book in advance. The earlier you book, the more likely you are to find availability at a time that suits you. You can contact the officer in charge for Conference Facilities and Bookings to find out when the theatre is next available.

Free Wi-Fi Access
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire college premises. To access the internet on any portable device you must join ‘Alexander Student’ and enter a password which you can receive from Reception, the I.T. Office or any member of College staff.
Bus Times and Routes
Larnaca Buses
“Cyprus by Bus” has an integrated system of urban and regional bus routes in Larnaca and Larnaca District, and it offers a 50% discount to students. To take advantage of the discount, you need to have a European Youth Card. It can be downloaded on the phone after the Student Affairs department gets a confirmation from the Youth Board. Please note, there is a limit to the age of 30 years.

The Pame App allows bus passengers to plan their journeys when using Cyprus Public Transport. The app gives passengers real-time information on buses and their arrival at each bus stop. Passengers can also browse an interactive bus map, access route information, route maps, and other information. Also, it allows you to top up your Travel Card.
Intercity buses
If you need to get to somewhere outside Larnaca, you will need an intercity bus. Intercity Buses can take you to and from all the major cities (Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Paralimni and Ayia Napa) and they offer up to 50% discount for students. Printing Service
A print shop is available on the college premises to provide students with a more convenient solution for printing assignments, art/design work and research notes. We now offer 3D printing Services in addition to spiral-binding, laminating, document scanning, colour laser printing and digital inkjet printing for larger custom sizes (i.e. design posters, architectural plans etc). We ask students to convert their work to PDF format before bringing it to us to avoid issues with fonts, missing plug-ins, formatting errors etc. The Print Shop is open every day from 9:00am till 1:30pm and from 2:30pm till 6:00pm on Monday through to Thursday (closed Friday afternoons).

Scholarships and Grants
Each year a number of Alexander Scholarships are available to first-year students. The list of terms and conditions for eligibility change from one year to the next so to find out if you qualify for a scholarship; you can contact the Student Affairs office. Students who meet the required criteria will be notified and we will help you with your scholarship application.
Local students can apply for a student study grant directly from the State and may be eligible to receive up to €3417 depending on certain criteria. The college is not involved in the planning or decision-making process of student state grants but we can provide you with all of the necessary forms and assist you with your grant application. You can contact Student Affairs between 9:00am and 2:00pm from Monday to Friday.

Cafeteria + Restaurant
The College Cafeteria and Roof Garden is open all day from 9:00am till 7:00pm during the academic year and offers a variety of inexpensive food choices including various hot and cold lunches, breakfasts, salads, bakery items and daily specials plus a large selection of beverages. The indoor section can be found on the 2nd floor and the roof garden is located directly above it. As with most institutions, the cafeteria is the main meeting place where you can touch base and catch up with friends and due to its large size; it is also used by many students for group study and discussions during free study time.
Student Council
The Student Committee or Council consists of a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer who are elected by the student body in November. Below is the list of the current Student Council members. We cannot give out student contact details without their consent but if you need to contact any member of your Student Council for the first time, you may do so by leaving your contact details with reception and we will pass on the message for a council member to contact you.
Accommodation Assistance
Students looking for accommodation have varying priorities; you may be on a limited budget, you may want a quiet space to study, you may want to live as close as possible to the college, especially if you don’t have your own transport or you may want to share with or live close to other students so you can socialise and study together. Whatever your concern, the Student Affairs office will provide you with all the necessary contacts to help find a place that’s right for you.
