Alexander College is participating in the EU-Horizon e-Diploma Project in collaboration with the Center for Social Innovation (CSI) and several international academic institutions.
The project investigates the effectiveness of disruptive technologies—including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), gamification, and chatbots—in enhancing e-learning and teaching within higher and vocational education contexts.
Piloting activities at Alexander College involved two research prototypes, delivered through structured sessions that incorporated VR navigation, block programming, sensor analysis, and gamified learning environments. Participants included students, educators, and VR developers, who experienced the prototypes either through disruptive technologies or traditional methods.
The research was conducted with ethical approval from the Cyprus National Bioethics Committee and provided participants with opportunities for digital skills development and hands-on experience.
Alexander College’s involvement in this EU-funded initiative highlights its active contribution to international research in educational technology and innovation.
