We are excited to announce that Michalis Pantelidis, one of our talented Fashion Design instructors, will be organizing an exclusive event this Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Radisson Beach Resort from 18:00 to 20:00.

The event is part of the “Ocean of Threads” project, a collaboration with the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research and the Larnaka Tourism Board. This unique exhibition features six stunning artworks printed on aluminum, which are displayed on the submerged vessel LEF1, located in the marine protected area of Voroklini.

Pantelidis’ sustainable fashion creations, including scarves and dresses made from recycled plastic, are inspired by the beauty of Larnaka’s marine ecosystems. His designs, incorporating underwater photography by Alexandros Papandreou, aim to raise awareness about marine conservation.

This event is a non-commercial gathering, focused on promoting sustainable practices and ocean literacy. It’s open to the public, offering an opportunity to explore the intersection of art, fashion, and environmental activism.

We invite everyone to join and support this remarkable initiative.
