As part of its ongoing community engagement initiatives, Alexander College has collaborated with the Movember Cyprus Association to raise awareness about men’s health throughout November. Together, we have placed a Movember-themed backdrop at Europe Square in Larnaka, encouraging the public to take photos, share their support on social media, and help spread awareness about this important cause.
Building on this collaboration, Alexander College will host an informative session and workshop with representatives from Movember Cyprus on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at 10:00, on campus.
The session will introduce students to the Movember movement, its purpose, and its global impact. Movember began in Australia in 2003, when a group of friends decided to bring back the moustache for a good cause. Combining Mo (for moustache) and November, they created Movember — a campaign dedicated to changing the face of men’s health.
Today, Movember is a global independent charitable movement that supports programs focused on prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health and suicide prevention. Guided by the Movember Foundation, it works to promote awareness, education, and open discussion about men’s physical and emotional well-being.
Through this initiative, Alexander College reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility, student engagement, and community collaboration, promoting health awareness and positive action within and beyond the campus.
